INSTALLATION OF A DEGREASING PLANT F.H.L. Company in Claverham, Bristol are what was known as Fairy Hydraulics Ltd (Group). We were asked to supply and help design a system to replace their degreasing plant. 1st Stage was to remove and resite exisiting equipment, diamond cut concrete floor to insert new ceramic drain system, then coat the floor with a two pack epoxy coating which is chemical resistant. Seven Number Tanks all stainless steel with 5no Tanks being insulated with phenolic slabs and covered with Polypropylene and fully sealed for protection against chemical attack. Each tank has a pumped recirculating system through stainless steel fine micron filters with 4no Tanks having internal heaters. Tanks areall in a line with the process of chemicals working from one end a rear operational white PVC panel with all controls for pumps, heaters, thermostats, isolators etc. all at hand for easy access. 5no Tanks have a rear lip extraction boxes connected to a horizontal common manifold which is connected to a high wallmounted fan exhausted to atmosphere. Lip boxes are PVC with GRP coatings for strength, all extraction system and fan are PVC, tests were carried out over a number of weeks and with very few adjustments the customer was extremely pleased with the final set up. System proved to be very successful providing an enviromentally safe degreasing and line.
